Responsibilities include:-Manage the street maintenance program for Layton City, including crack seal, slurry seal, chip seal, microsurfacing, mastic seal, and overlaying jobs. Our program runs around $1.8 million annually. -Manage all sidewalk related projects, including ADA transition plan, remove and replace, and trip hazard removal. This includes taking calls and complaints from residents regularly, and working with them personally to resolve their concerns. -Design and manage 2-3 utility projects (approx. $400,000 each) each year including storm drain, culinary water, and sewer line systems. -Review property developments, including plats, site work, and public utilities. I communicate regularly with engineering firms on our design standards and specifications.

I tested new versions of aerial surveillance software for bugs on a weekly cycle.

I worked for a general contractor doing everything from fire watch to earthwork, to ironwork, and operating equipment. It was one of my favorite work experiences, both for skills learned and just plain enjoying the job.
