Assistant Inspector General (Quality/Nasa)
CurrentExecutes the full range of Inspection/Evaluation responsibilities within established timelines and applicable policies/regulations. Participates in Inspection and Evaluation Team Reviews, team projects, assignments and taskings accomplished within timelines and to the appropriate policies/regulations. Works proactively with members of the Office of Internal Audit and Inspector General (OIA&IG), to develop "Teach and Train" opportunities to effectively implement Agency policy and processes. Conducts Teach & Train seminars on various quality and NASA subject matters at CMOs. Represents the Office of Internal Audits & Inspector General at meetings such as the NASA Quality Leadership Forum (QLF). Collaborate with NASA in working groups to support data-gathering tools and policies used for DCMA NASA activities. Provides regular status and outcomes of projects to IET management. Provides support to the Technical Directorate, Headquarters, Operational Unit regarding NASA policy, NASA Key Controls, and NASA tools and training as requested/directed. Assesses Agency operations, performance, administrative processes, and internal controls by conducting compliance, systematic, functional and performance inspections/evaluations at CMOs, Centers, Regions, and HQs ensuring assessed units receive a baseline of operations and their ability to execute the contract administration services mission. Performs NASA, Discrepancy Processing, and Quality Assurance support inspections related to customer complaints and corrective action requests, assist with root cause determination and corrective action planning, reports findings to Senior Leaders. Briefs report/results to CMO Senior Leadership during and after every formal inspection. - Serves as a member of various IPTs, works with process/policy owners on the development, writing and editing of DCMA Instructions, Manuals and Job Aides used by Agency personnel to fulfil surveillance requirements.
