Straight out of school I worked as a labourer for a building restoration and kitchen company that did business all across the south of England, Hartley Quinn Wilson. I gained a great knowledge of timber types and building products working at David COVERS and sons, Cooksbridge. From there I have gained a vast knowledge of high end bespoke carpentry and joinery from working at The Joinery Crew, Westgate Joinery, Millworks Ltd, Hobbs Designed and Forest Joinery. Some full time and others as a sub contractor under my own business MDS Carpentry and Joinery. I have done a weeks intense course in CAD which I learnt from an employee and CAD expert at TinTab, Newhaven. I studied at Marc Fish studios. I decided at the end of 2012 to close my business and work for Shutterly Fabulous, a plantation shutter and blind company. Shutterly Fabulous is part of the TCMM shutter group who also own California Shutters and The Shutter Store UK. After a few months assisting the senior installers I became a senior installer myself and have been in this role ever since. In the future I hope to gain vast sales skills and switch from installer to sales consultant/surveyor as I see myself having a long and successful career at the company.
