20 years in the USMC, retired a Gunnery Sergeant / E-7 in 1996. Over the ensuing 16 years I've installed wiring for telephone/data systems, maintained a church maintenance / facilities needs, payroll and contract management for a construction company and a property management company and now as a purchasing manager for a ready mix company. I am currently engaged in blending proven Marine Corps management processes with lessons learned during my civilian employment. Being a Marine in a non Marine environment these last sixteen years have provided me with insights and observations of how to blend these two very different approaches to management. Simplicity and efficiency is the goal, with more teamwork, communication and assistance amongst fellow employees.Specialties: Self taught Excel with above average skill in using conditional formatting, VBA and formulas to efficiently utilize collected data.
