20 years in the USMC, retired a Gunnery Sergeant / E-7 in 1996. Over the ensuing 16 years I've installed wiring for telephone/data systems, maintained a church maintenance / facilities needs, payroll and contract management for a construction company and a property management company and now as a purchasing manager for a ready mix company. I am currently engaged in blending proven Marine Corps management processes with lessons learned during my civilian employment. Being a Marine in a non Marine environment these last sixteen years have provided me with insights and observations of how to blend these two very different approaches to management.
