Dr. Mark Sutor is a Bloomington periodontist who offers dental implants, laser perio treatment, wisdom teeth extractions, oral sedation, bone grafting, oral pathology, tissue grafting, crown lengthening, & more.Dr. Mark Sutor attended Indiana University from 1979-1983 where he became a four year letterman in football. His graduate education led him to Dallas, TX where he attended Baylor College of Dentistry for the next 4 years. Next his general practice residency took him to Lexington, KY. He then began his 2 year periodontal residency at U.K. School of Dentistry in 1991. His residency was filled with wonderful mentors and role models for his future career as a periodontist. He feels very fortunate to have been exposed to so many great educators during that time. After a lot of research and discussions with his family and friends, he decided to start his practice in Bloomington in 1991. He is the President and founder of “Hoosiers for Dental Excellence”, which is a study club that emphasizes “advanced education and continued lifelong learning opportunities. He has over 25 members from a 50 mile radius of South Central Indiana. Hoosiers for Dental Excellence was the first study club of its kind in the entire state of Indiana when it began in 1998. Now there are over 200 nationwide. Dr. Sutor resides in Bloomington and has a son at Purdue, and a daughter at Bloomington South High School.
