I am currently the Assistant Area Manager at Tidewater Marine based in Lagos NigeriaThe role encompasses the responsibility for the day to day operation of the vessels, both commercially and operationally with a focus on budgetary control and safe operations of the vessels, with close liaison with the QHSE Manager, HR and vessel Masters to ensure the operations of the vessels is to the highest standard possible. The role also encompasses auditing with accident investigation as and when needed.Previous to this I was the Operations Manager for Topaz Marine Azerbaijan and Prior to that both Port Captain and Vessel Master on both AHTS and PSVBefore I returned to the Offshore Industry in 2000 I had a command role in Tankers in the 1990's that also required the development and implementation of the ISM system, as well as a temporary shore role developing cargo delivery systems, vessel conversion and upgrading that companies Seafarers to STCW 95.
