Responsible for the construction and completion of SWMU remediation projects in Virginia and on-going investigation at an active chemical manufacturing plant in Philadelphia. • Managed major remediation projects at the Chesterfield and Hopewell, VA facilities from beginning to end. This included workplan and permit compilation (VaDEQ, Army Corp of Engineers), requests for proposal, bid evaluation, contractor selection, coordination with with AdvanSix field engineers, budget and change-order tracking and Construction Completion Reports. • Quarterly presentations to Corporate officers to review ongoing and short-term environmental liability and propose financial spend and reserve requirements. Also, advise Corporate on how Federal and state agencies may view long-term liability, how and when the liability could affect the company and how to best communicate and plan for long-term environmental obligations. • Compiled and presented data to the VaDEQ RCRA project manager, arguing that remediation of a stand-alone SWMU located on a 25% slope posed no environmental risk and was therefor unnecessary to remediate. VaDEQ accepted the presentation saving the company $300,000. • In conjunction with AdvanSix’s consultant, compiled long-term Operations, Monitoring and Maintenance plans for Virginia facilities. Plans were crafted to avoid “blanket” commitment to continuous long-term groundwater monitoring of a large network of wells, by completing statistical analysis of results to identify downward-trends of chemicals of concern in groundwater.• Edited and rewrote multiple environmental submittals to provided shorter, more concise submittals that were better organized, more "agency friendly", and easier to read. • Completed due-diligence audits on facilities used for waste disposal, tolling and recycling.

Honeywell Resins & Chemicals Frankford is a large-scale chemical refining (phenol, acetone, AMS) plant. At the time of my hire the facility was owned and operated by Sunoco Chemicals. I was invited by Sunoco to join as a Senior Environmental Engineer. When Sunoco divested to Honeywell in 2011, my responsibilities continued, without modification.Responsible for facility-wide environmental compliance and management, focusing on RCRA waste management, Part B Permit compliance (on-site destruction of hazardous waste in industrial boilers for energy recovery), waste-water discharge, Title V air emissions compliance, as well as City of Philadelphia, state and Federal reporting.As this facility is located within the City of Philadelphia and was bordered by the Route 95 corridor and residential neighborhoods, attention to environmental compliance and permit conditions was paramount.While working at this manufacturing facility I also enacted creative solutions and implemented procedures that streamlined record keeping and improved efficiency of periodic reporting.
