Dr. Mark T. Wright, AIA is a practicing architect and Author, with his Ph.D. in Urban planning. He concentrated his 40+ year career on developing, designing, and building affordable housing before moving to the high country of North Carolina. Now he is focusing on ecologically conscious development and the incremental preservation and restoration of the priceless stream resources. Mark received his Doctorate in Urban and Public Affairs, Planning and Development from the University of Louisville and completed his dissertation on affordable housing in 2003. That year, Mark received one of eleven HUD Scholarship awards nationwide for his dissertation research work. Mark also earned a Master in Fine Arts degree from the University of Louisville in 1992 and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky 1980. He has taught planning and architecture courses at the University of Cincinnati, the University of Kentucky College of Architecture, and the University of Louisville School of Planning, as well as the Women and Minority Contractor Training course co-sponsored by a local non-profit housing corporation.His new book, 'The Tail of a Salamander', published by Wordeee, is a riveting, ethereal journey delving deep into the world of author, Mark T.   Mark Wright, an architect of Oracle Design Group, Inc., has practiced architecture for more than 30 years. In his 30 years in the industry, Mark has specialized in housing, specifically, the renovation and new construction of multi-family and single-family financed by Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits and other forms of affordable housing finance. His practice and passion of architecture concentrates on housing construction, design and development that began with rural housing and early HUD projects in Eastern and Southeastern Kentucky in 1980-81 and continues through today. As an architect, Mark believes that housing is the most difficult and noblest area in the practice of architecture and his unique approach to housing solutions has allowed Oracle Design Group, Inc. to become one of the most respected names in the housing industry.
