My name is Mark Talley, the executive director of Agents For Advocacy (AFA). AFA started as a response to the Tops terrorist act by a white supremacist in Buffalo,NY on 5/14/22. Between the time of 2:28pm-2:31pm 10 innocent victims were killed while 3 other were wounded. One of the victims was Geraldine C Talley, my mother.Our mission is to combat systematic racism and provide awareness on socioeconomic equality and equitable issues so we can someday foster a reality in which one’s race and one’s socioeconomic environment shouldn’t determine one’s future.I believe through educating people on these hard topics such as racism and the pillars of socioeconomics, 5/14 could have been avoided. That’s why I will be doing as much public speaking as possible to raise awareness on these issues.

With a strong passion for promoting socioeconomic justice. Inspired by a personal tragedy, when my mother became a victim of a racial terrorist attack, I founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing systemic injustices in our community. Through my nonprofit's initiatives and the tireless work we do, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable society. As a speaker, I bring my expertise and first-hand experience to engage audiences, raising awareness about these pressing issues and inspiring others to join the cause of social change."

I wrote the book, 5/14 - The Day the Devil Came to Buffalo, which is based on the terrorist attack in which my mother was a victim. The book was listed briefly as one of Amazon's best new releases and shed lights on my personal journey after the attack and hoping it inspires others.

Providing a safe environment for employees, visitors and individuals being treated and security for the facilities of the Erie County Medical Center Corporation or any of the offsite facilities or programs.Observing individuals on campus ensuring that safety policies and procedures are followed.Assisting clinical staff in maintaining a therapeutic environment in patient care areas including physically intervening to prevent injury to patient, staff or visitor.Identifying safety violations and dangerous situations and takes appropriate action to de-escalate, prevent and/or minimize danger.Assisting in escorting disorderly persons from premises.Assisting in searches in the Behavioral Health environment including common areas and patient rooms.Assisting in fire drills, panic alarm testing and emergency management exercises.

Involves performing a variety of clerical functions related to the registration of patients for clinical, surgical, inpatient and ancillary departments. Perform tasks such as obtaining and reviewing patient information, scheduling patient appointments, verifying benefits eligibility, calculating and receiving patient co-pay, and inputting information into computer information systems.

• Accept inbound calls and e-mails from employees and their dependents on issues pertaining to their health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance products and services • Research complex/involved inquiries through outbound phone calls to insurance carriers, web research, or by inquiring with colleagues • Assist individuals with technology questions related to the Bright Choices® Exchange, including unlocking passwords and helping with website navigation • Follow-up and close all customer inquiries and open cases • Regularly interface with people (groups and individuals) and communicate within various mediums (E-mail, telephone)
