The Fred Taylor Company has grown to become one of Georgia’s largest privately held transportation and warehousing firms. It has five operating divisions and over twenty company owned facilities. Combined 2011 revenues were $60 million. Fred Taylor Company’s largest division, Interstate NationaLease, and its subsidiary Interstate Distribution Services, operate sixteen locations providing full service truck and trailer leasing and rental, dedicated contract carriage, as well as, a full range of maintenance contracts and repair services. Its customers include Georgia Pacific, Frito Lay, Pet Dairies, and many of the region’s largest manufacturers and distributors.Interstate Warehouse Services owns and manages over a million square feet of commercial warehouse space in Albany and Thomasville. A sampling of its customers includes GA Pacific, MillerCoors Brewing Company, Ball Corporation, Owens Illinois Glass and Packaging Corporation of America, among others.TransPower, Inc. operates three heavy and medium duty truck distributorships in Albany, Valdosta, and Douglas. It represents Mack, Kenworth and Ford trucks, as well as, East Trailers. TransPower is one of the nation’s oldest truck dealerships having been in operation for over 50 years.Fred Taylor Company through its association with JFT Properties, LP, owns and manages both commercial and residential real estate holdings in Georgia, Florida and Alabama. These holdings include industry specific facilities, as well as, retail shopping centers and commercial office space.
