Migrated the GEM-EDC phase 1 platform and system, including existing Clinical Data, to a Windows 2000 environment and introduced a new version of the Initiator Pro software. Installed and resolved problems with the new platform at the five AstraZeneca CPU sites, including two months on site at the three sites in Sweden. Developed, validated, and packaged NT4 server builds for the GEM-EDC phase 1 global project which provided automated data capture, processing and reporting for clinical trials at five European clinical pharmacology units.Managed and implemented the server rollout across the five sites. Took system through the entire AstraZeneca Global Computer Validation Lifecycle and Process including an overview of 21 CFR part 11.Involved in technical design of GEM-EDC environment and generation of validation documents, SOPs, Technical Spec, Install Instructions, IQ, OQ and PQ. Created validated install instructions to enable server hardware to comply with GCP standards.

I gained first hand knowledge of the installation, maintenance and administration of NT 3.51 (workstation & server). One of the tasks I performed at Bolton that I found especially interesting was the installation and configuration of a Fax Client\Server system for the Energy & Telecommunications department.September 97 I transferred to a Northwest Water site in Warrington as part of the second line desktop support team (again part of the UU group). My main role was to manage any faults that occurred with the desktop PC’s and bring the fault to a successful conclusion. This site provided me with the opportunity to further develop my knowledge of Windows 95. I also gained knowledge of supporting PC’s in a Token Ring, TCP/IP corporate network environment. Basic knowledge of Novel 3.x was also acquired while on site.
