Mark is considered one of the finest thinkers and political contributors of his generation. From the mid-’90s, Mark led a radical transformation of research, strategy and research-led communications techniques used in Australasian politics. He was Prime Minister Howard’s chief pollster for his record-breaking victory in 1996. He remained the chief pollster and a central strategist for all of PM Howard’s subsequent election victories. In 2002 with Sir Lynton Crosby, AO Mark Co-Founded C|T Group. The firm blended Lynton’s campaign expertise with Mark’s diagnostic understanding of research and data-led strategy and communications to create Australia’s first home-grown campaigns consultancy. In his five years as Chair, Mark lead the successful campaign for minimum passing distance legislation in every state & territory in Australia.  Mark now Chairs the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education whic works to reduce alcohol harms in our community.  Mark has also been a regular and applauded columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian Financial Review and Business Insider.
