Experienced Commercial Lender with a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry, both as a business banker as well as a Chief Lending Officer. I have also been a licensed Virginia attorney since 1996. I practiced military law as an Army National Guard JAG Officer from January of 1997 through December of 2019, and I served as the J8-State Resource Management Officer-from December of 2019 through January of 2024; I retired as a Colonel in January of 2024. Furthermore, I practiced civilian law in two separate law firms in Southside Virginia, initially serving as a general practice litigator before focusing on real estate law. I also served as a qualified Guardian Ad Litem for both juveniles and adults.My civilian education includes receiving a JD from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1996, and a BA in Economics and Business (Spanish minor) from the Virginia Military Institute in 1992. My military education consists of being a 2014 graduate of the U.S. Army Common Core Course of the Command and General Staff College (Commandant’s List), a 2007 graduate of the U.S. Army JAG Officer Advanced Course (Commandant’s List), and a 1999 graduate of the U.S. Army JAG Officer Basic Course.I served on the Town of South Boston Industrial Development Authority from 2012 through 2020. I previously served on the local YMCA Board of Directors from 1998 to 2013, serving as President for two years. I also served on the Danville Community College Board of Directors from 2003 until 2011, serving as President for one year.
