My role as a materials scientist involves problem solving solid state issues with active ingredients using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, DSC/TGA and performing polymorph screens and salt screens of new active ingredients.

I am currently working for the Particle Science Group at Syngenta. My role as a physical chemist involves problem solving solid state issues with active ingredients using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, DSC/TGA and performing polymorph screens of new active ingredients.

Fully funded EPSRC/H2FC studentship for the synthesis and the characterisation of oxide ion conducting materials for the application in solid oxide fuels cells. Commonly used methods and analysis include: solid state synthesis, XRD, EDX, SEM, EIS and Neutron powder diffraction. Additionally, I am proficient in modelling crystallographic data using techniques such as Rietveld refinement and Le Bail method.
