The effective deployment of new technology and its use is central to all projects, construction and engineering, with efficiency and sustainability being paramount to the operations and its potential impact on the surrounding environment.

The provision of technical, information and data support to this service and assist in the provision of an effective and efficient Strategic Asset Service for the East Riding of Yorkshire. The principal duties included the collection, validation, maintenance and interpretation of numerical, graphical and written data for buildings and land owned and managed by the Council. This work also included assisting in the presentation of detailed property reports using verbal and electronic means. I supported Senior Managers with financial, invoice and premises related queries, including those from within and without the Council, My role required me to undertake technical research, collection, organisation and analysis of written and photographic data presented to the section and included undertaking site visits with identification and reporting of tasks and actions being undertaken and required. I produced detailed plan drawings showing site and building layouts as well as internal mechanical and electrical layouts all through to furniture layouts.Reason for leaving - I was seeking a full time, permanent contract. I had been employed on a rolling contract throughout the period. Despite the enjoyment of the work, there appeared to be no prospect of a full time opportunity at the time

I gained valuable experience working on projects such as the 2012 Olympics sites and the Smith and Nephews roof collapse, producing drawings and coordinating site progress.
