Mark joined Boston Private Bank in 1994 as Executive Vice President and Treasurer and served as President from 2001 and Chief Executive Officer from 2003. Under his leadership, Boston Private grew from a well-performing regional bank to a national institution, with more than $9 billion in client assets under management (grew from $25M); and over $7 billion in balance sheet assets (grew from $100M) and office expansion across the country including New England, Southern California, the San Francisco bay area, Florida and Texas. In 2012, under his leadership, Boston Private Bank & Trust Company consolidated the bank's West Coast bank affiliates into Boston Private Bank. In 2015, Mark was also President and board member of Boston Private Financial Holdings. Mark has served on the Board/Advisory Committees of a number of charitable organizations including: Northeast Arc, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Anti-Defamation League, Casa Esperanza, Mass Insight Global 2015 Committee, Greater Boston Chamber Transportation Committee, Windrush Farm Therapeutic Equitation, Norwich University Board of Trustees, World Affairs Council of Boston, Treasurer’s Club of Boston, and the Massachusetts Government Land Bank Investment Committee. - Named the Banker and Tradesman’s “Top 100 Business Leaders in Boston” - Named the Boston Business Journal’s “Power 50” rankings as one of the most influential leaders in Boston. - Named the Boston Business Journal’s “Most admired companies” CEO of Boston Private Bank & Trust Co. 2013- Appeared on CNN, WBZ Radio, NECN’s “This Week in Business” and “CEO Corner”
