I am originally from the small island nation of Malta and have an MA in Wildlife documentary production and an MA in Creativity & Innovation. I have worked on multiple award winning short films which convey under-reported stories, most recently focusing on homelessness, peat land degradation, urban foxes and illegal bird hunting in Malta. My professional background includes working as an Environmental Protection Officer with the Environment & Resources Authority in Malta, as well as working in the creative industry. I have been a freelance filmmaker for the past 8 years and have worked on a fixed contract with companies in Belgium, Malta and the UK. With regards to software competences, I am a proficient user of Da Vinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro & Final Cut Pro and have good command of After Effects, Photoshop, Indesign & Canva.In my free time I like to volunteer and I am currently the President of the bicycle advocacy group Rota and a member of the Jane Goodall Institute's Belgian Communication Team. I enjoy long distance running and reading a good book. I speak Maltese, English, Italian & French and hold a driving & boating license (even though I prefer cycling).
