Focusing on providing a detailed understanding of the interaction between the diesel pilot and hydrogen main injection and the ignition of the hydrogen. As part of this project, high-pressure direct injection (HPDI) of hydrogen was studied.Numerically investigated methanol in low-temperature combustion (LTC) strategies in a heavy-duty CI ICE. Methanol was studied in the homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) and partially premixed combustion (PPC) strategies.
