Hired at Vitria as the VP of eBusiness Solutions responsible to develop the strategy and product management team to deepen the penetration in the Telecommunications markets, but more importantly, to penetrate non-telco markets. Included the research and determination of which other markets to pursue, which cross industry problems to solve, then architect and develop the appropriate solutions, and support the sales team in bringing the products to market. The team included marketing personnel, industry experts, and software developers.

Responsible for the strategic planning, marketing, sales, operations, accounting, legal, and profit and loss of AI Metrix, which was a start-up network management and provisioning software company focused on the telecommunications market. AI Metrix has deep technical expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), software development and industry expertise in traditional voice (POTS), ATM, DSL and SONET networks and related network devices supporting integrated voice and data services. As the only non-software engineer Founder, I was responsible to run the business and grow the company. We started AI Metrix with no outside funding, customers, nor finished product. During my tenure, AI Metrix successfully created and deployed network management and provisioning software products at Comcast, Ameritech Cellular, Universal Access (CLEC), and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is geographically the largest integrated voice, video, and data network in the world.
