• Manage the team of 7 engineers at FlexSys and provide technical direction to meet program objectives. • Work with the program manager to determine tasks and hours requirements for the technical staff• Some specific programs include - An Air Force contract to design, build, and ground test a retrofit military aircraft wing section with a blended winglet and active load-alleviation - A program to design and supply a flexing wiper for low-volume, commercial Aston Martin hypercar - An Army contract to prototype and test novel compliant control surface mechanisms for gun-fired artillery munitions

• Led the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) portion of an Air Force contract to create a proprietary software tool (called FFFT) that evaluates the feasibility of FlexFoil design on next-gen military aircraft• Wrote the Python code to interface the CFD program with the proprietary software. This included taking user inputs, meshing geometry with AFLR3 software, running it in FUN3D CFD, and creating summary plots, flow field images, and other data needed for FFFT.• Had an integral role in determining the software’s requirements and overall architecture

• Created an Excel VBA macro for documenting and updating program requirements• Test Director for a contract to design, build, and test a modified military aircraft's inboard flap with a variable trailing edge for optimal cruise trim• Designed, analyzed, and built a 20’x12’x10’ test frame to apply a 16.5k lb ultimate test load to the modified flap• Wrote the test procedures and led the 3-day ground test• Post-processed the test data and wrote the final test report

• Designed supporting fixtures for retrofitting the flaps on a GIII wing with FlexFoil technology. • Supported technical interface with NASA during GIII flight testing with FlexFoil• Wrote a VBA code in Excel to evaluate the fatigue behavior of various test coupons to reduce data from 21k hours of testing at a sample rate of 25Hz.

• Tested over 50 coupons of an elastomeric material to acquire its tensile, fatigue, and relaxation properties over a temperature range of 180F to -70F• Designed and built a test stand to evaluate trailing edge FlexFoil coupons• Designed the hydraulic actuation system hardware for a ground demonstration article of the FlexFoil on the GIII wing
