    The Non-Production Estate Management team is responsible for the management of all Test environments (and the assets within them) that align to Retail Bank Applications and Services. The Environment Technician and Service Manager roles and responsibilities include:• Supporting major internal Infrastructure projects (covering Unix, Windows, MQ, WAS and TAM) which impact the Retail Non-Production Estate. This included the Greenford Data Centre Migration project as well as Windows Domain Consolidation, AIX to Linux migration and Middleware Remediation under the Transform Program. My role included indentifying users of impacted Test components, determining if said components were still in use and liaising with the appropriate Test or Application Management/Development teams to agree a suitable migration or decommissioning (if appropriate) schedule with the GTIS Infrastructure teams. This role is key in allowing major infrastructure programs to proceed and deliver significant cost savings to the bank whilst mitigating the impact on Test environments and the GTS teams using them, thus allowing Retail Projects to deliver change on behalf of the Business to plan.• Build and manage relationships/networks across the Bank, in particular technical delivery teams within GTIS but also AD and AM. • Shape the function – working with Service Delivery/Introduction teams to identify improvements to the delivery, maintenance and availability of new test environments as well as the correct logging within ServiceNow and DAST of new Test assets. Act as point of escalation for test teams to manage and resolve test environment incidents using ServiceNow. This includes liaising with Infrastructure and Middleware team leads (across WAS, TAM, Connect Direct, Windows, MQ, Unix, Oracle and Mainframe technologies) to ensure test incidents are assigned the relevant resource and resolved in a timely manner, escalating to Technology partners as and when necessary.
