Created a batch ETL job from multiple electronic medical record systems (EMR) using a mix of C++, Java, Python, Perl, and Oracle PL-SQL. Oversaw development of key components, ensured data extract process met clinical and business needs and coordinated overall data load schedule into Epic utilizing HL7 and CDA interfaces.

Started off as a software engineer contractor for EDS on the tenncare account. Was converted to permanent and elevated to functional area lead on the main development team. Shared responsibilities as informal claims-system architect with two others. Programmed in C, C++, Pro C, Perl. Did some light system administration work under sunOS.EDS supplies computing services to various corporate and state customers. This account was servicing tenncare's claim processing and program management.

Developed some on a embedded point of sale system (w/ a printer). Also was backup on the weekly bank ACH processing for several state governments. Interacted directly with clients and prioritized work across different states with minimal input from project management.

Lead Developer at Caterpillar financial while a contractor for Volt. Also acted as primary system administrator. Worked with Cisco load balancing devices and enterprise system monitoring. Developed various sensor applications to provide data feeds and created an executive dashboard of application health. Also participated in SOX compliance and several other projects.
