I am the Director of Tizza Compliance - a general insurance compliance consultancy firm specialising in the provision of all forms of regulatory advice and guidance to brokers, MGA's and insurers. I am able to provide assistance with a ad-hoc single projects, such as acquisition due diligence, 2nd line audits, and reviews of regulatory frameworks or ongoing consultancy services through temporary placement.I am highly motivated qualified compliance professional with over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry across all aspects of general insurance including retail and wholesale markets.As well as being a Member of the Institute of Leadership & Management I am also a Fellow of the International Compliance Association.Since starting my career in compliance in 2005 at Smart & Cook Limited, I have progressed through various roles up to the Head of Compliance at Bluefin where I managed the combined Compliance Business Partner and Monitoring units until the acquisition of the firm by Marsh UK in 2017. Past roles in Underwriting, Broking and Project Management help to bring a practical understanding of the challenges faced by retail and wholesale firms.Previous roles have meant that I have extensive expertise in regulatory due diligence, acquisitions and integration work, implementing and managing successful compliance monitoring frameworks, involvement in regulatory enforcement action, creation of both 1st and 2nd line quality control regimes, oversight over agency management and representation at various board and management committees. I have been active in supporting the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) including being the Chair of BIBA’s Regulatory Working Group, a position held from 2015 until I left Jelf in 2019 during which time I have contributed to a number of industry initiatives including premium finance, conflicts of interest and the Insurance Distribution Directive.
