Current• Provides leadership and assumes overall responsibility for implementing, maintaining and monitoring performance of all Health and Safety matters• Provides leadership and assumes overall responsibility for implementing, maintaining and monitoring performance of over 250 motor vehicles and heavy equipment • Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal health and safety regulations• Proactively monitors performance to ensure compliance with state and federal OSHA regulations and ensure changes are implemented• Supports the development of programs and systems at the corporate and division level including Hazard and Risk Management; Incident Investigation and Learning; and SOP/JSA/JHA Improvements• Analyzes performance using leading and lagging indicators, identifying emerging issues and proactively developing risk mitigation strategies and plans • Develops and maintains knowledge of facilities, equipment, process, material handling and personnel management in all assigned locations as they pertain to health and safety matters.• Monitors and assess physical inspections of work crews to determine safety needs and violations of policy and OSHA standards• Review and implement improvements to Health and Safety related trainings to new hires and operation personnel• Leads the development and implementation of training programs for personnel in conjunction with industry associations and professional agencies to build knowledge of best industry practices, including those formulated to promote workplace safety
