Repaired and maintained Cummins diesel engines used to power buses, trucks, rairoad trains, generator sets and construction machinery using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments and machining tools. Troubleshoot, disassemble engines, examine parts for defects and excessive wear. Recondition and replace parts, such as pistons, bearings, gears, crankshafts and cylinder heads. Weld and cut parts with wire feed welder and flame cutting equipment. Test drive completed vehicles and eqipment as needed and verify for proper repairs. Successfully completed all required training to maintain journeyman technician status.
