As Director of Crude Oil Operations, I am responsible for leading pipeline Operations and Measurement efforts and programs for assigned crude oil and NGL pipeline systems, including but not limited to:•Develop, maintain, and supervise pipeline staff including Pipeline Operations and Measurement Managers.•Plan, direct, and manage the employees, programs, policies and procedures that lead to the accurate measurement of LPG/NGL, Crude Oil, and refined products throughout American Midstream’s pipelines and terminals.•Interact with Control Center, Pipeline and Terminal Operations and Maintenance, and Scheduling and Crude Trucking personnel to identify and troubleshoot issues with measurement equipment and gain/loss variances.•Ensure balanced project assignment workloads with project management teams.•Evaluate effectiveness of Operations and Measurement support processes and staff.•Provide input to the written pipeline Project Management programs, standards, and procedures for all pipeline assets.•Review and approve revisions as Measurement procedures and processes change.•Review company Measurement Manual for continued accuracy and review and approve MOC processes for internal measurement field documentation. •Oversee the company’s compliance with the Measurement Manual by providing training and daily guidance for the Measurement Managers, Supervisors, Technicians, Control Center personnel, and Pipeline and Terminal management.•Participate in industry-relevant activities for continued education in industry practices and technology in the area of accurate measurement, including attendance of API, ASTM meetings, and other events.•Maintain an active role in API standard committees.•Monitor employee performance, measure productivity, and oversee assigned functions.•Initiate and oversee the organization of company-implemented measurement training.

•As an API voting member representing American Midstream, I chaired the API MPMS Chapter 18.2 “Custody Transfer of Crude Oil from Lease Tanks Using Alternative Measurement Methods Committee.” •Responsible for planning, directing, and managing the employees, programs, policies and procedures that lead to the accurate measurement of Crude Oil throughout the American Midstream’s Pipelines and Terminals.•Responsible for monitoring daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly gain-loss discrepancies, providing detailed analysis of data and leading troubleshooting efforts for mitigation of measurement discrepancies by implementing corrective actions across the American Midstream’s assets.•Ascertain the company’s compliance with the Measurement Manual by providing training and daily guidance for the Measurement Supervisors, Technicians, Control Center personnel, and Pipeline and Terminal management.•Establish and ensure adherence to measurement policies across all areas, with strong emphasis on liquid Measurement.•Supervise pipeline Measurement group and ensure that schedules for the meter technicians are established so that all provings and water draws are completed within API and Company approved time frames.•Analyze meter proving trends to identify potential mechanical, electrical, or software problems.•Interact with Control Center, Pipeline and Terminal Operations, Maintenance, Scheduling, and Crude Trucking personnel to identify and troubleshoot issues with measurement equipment and gain/loss variances.•Specify and utilize software that allows for the further detailed analysis of our meter and measurement data. •Develop and maintain a crude oil measurement oversight program to ensure that measurement variances meet or exceed accepted industry standards and are consistent with regulatory requirements and relevant commercial terms. Train and supervise measurement technicians and coordinate their activities to ensure a consistent approach to measurement policies, practices, data collection and reporting across the entire geography. •Analyze, investigate and trouble shoot excessive variances and develop corrective action plans.•Develop and maintain a technical training programs.•Develop and maintain a measurement audit program to ensure consistency in the pipeline system.•Ensure that all measurement equipment is properly certified and timely calibrated.•Document the meter factor history for each meter. • I am responsible for the supervision of pipeline technical maintenance activities through direction of electrical/electronics, mechanical technicians, maintenance and operations personnel as well as perform project management.• Provide guidance to resolve operational problems as required. Work unified with shared service departments to maintain consistency with all areas of business and maximize benefits of all departments.• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, company policy and company required maintenance inspections.• Manage technical maintenance expense budget to complete required repairs/upgrades at a minimum cost.• Perform budget forecasting as appropriate. Support and assist with HES training activities, updates and compliance with HES policies and procedures.• Provide recommendations for system operational improvements through submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process.• Provide supervisory relief in various areas.• I have to possess a knowledge of the electrical/electronics and mechanical components required for liquid pipeline operations and have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.• I must be familiar with and able to implement company safety policies and procedures.• Must be proficient with applicable software applications. Knowledge of PLC's and PLC programming, electrical systems, pumps, engines, motors, and valves.• Must possess knowledge of DOT - OPS regulations including understanding of operator qualifications requirements.• My current position is subject to 24 hour calls, 7 days per week and must have the capability of supervising outside technical maintenance activities that are subject to all climatic conditions. This includes the ability to climb storage tanks and ladders, oversee pump unit maintenance and other various activities. Position is also subject to extensive driving requirements over large geographical area.

Sunoco Logistics, Maysville, Oklahoma• Responsible for maintaining, installing, repairing, testing, operating and trouble shooting elements of the transmission facilities within the southern Oklahoma area. • Install and/or maintenance repairs or revisions to electrical/electronic equipment within the southern Oklahoma area, including but not limited to: trouble-shooting, repair and installation of motors; MOVs; product identification devices; automatic tank gauging equipment; PLC programming and all other electrical and electronic equipment required to operate a pipeline system.• Proactively identify and make recommendations to various problems. Supply preventive maintenance and replacement of various types of mechanical and electrical equipment and accessories. • Efficiently minimize costs of equipment and projects through hands-on techniques and recommendations.• Supervise and inspect performance of contract work on various projects.• Required to be familiar with DOT codes, OSHA regulations, NEC codes, computers and various types of test equipment.• Lead role in coordinating the Accident Prevention Team (APT) in the Maysville / Seminole area and served as team leader. As the team leader, I restructured the team using the S.A.C.K. structure giving each member of the team his/her role as an officer. As a team, we implemented a database that helps keep track of the employees concerns and forwards these concerns to management for review. • Along with my supervisor, we developed a PLC program that gives a station the capability of transmitting a gross at 60 F, meter factored barrel to the control center rather than just raw meter count. The problem we were attempting to solve is the measurement error that can cause a line segment to continually to run over or short, based on differences in line temperature and/or meter factors at the origin and destination points. After field-testing this project, it was implemented area wide.

Meter Check Inc., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma• Inspected, certified, calibrated, repaired and rebuilt liquid measurement devices as needed. • Manufactured, rebuilt, wired, installed, troubleshooted, and repaired Lease Automated Customer Transfer Units (LACT Units), Flow computers, Sampling Systems and other liquid measuring equipment. • Traveled extensively as required, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, and Argentina to oversee and troubleshoot the installation and start up of Micromotion Coriolis mass meters and meter proving systems.• Primary designer on Primary Measurement Device (PMD) project. Designed an electronic device which utilized the mass reading from a Mass meter to calculate net and gross volume and flow rates, convert API gravity readings at line temperature to API gravity at 60.0 F, average the line temperature and corrected gravity. This information was viewed on a display by the end user. This device used the calculated meter volumes to output sample and SCADA pulses.
