I am a senior software developer with over 10 years of varied experience in the South African Software Development industry, now having found my next challenge in Canada. I spent a large portion of my professional career in the employment of Bidvest Office (Pty) Ltd (trading as Konica Minolta South Africa) and as such the company represents many of my early crowning achievements. I received awards and incentive packages for outstanding work by pioneering new effective ways to deliver enhanced software for better customer satisfaction. Due to my experience I was appointed as team supervisor.When I started as a junior at Konica Minolta, I immersed myself with much of the company’s hardware and software technologies wanting to know how it all fit together, and I attribute that curiosity that's still with me today to how I grew in my capacity as a developer. I interacted with and successfully built many integrated applications and services through my personal aim of always wanting to deliver high quality software for customers. I traveled all over the country to develop these solutions, much of which was for high profile businesses and institutions.Having spent a defining number of years at Konica Minolta I sought to expand my reach, experience, and knowledge in the software development space. To that end, I embraced an opportunity at PaySpace, a payroll company, dealing with numerous clients throughout the African continent followed by an amazing opportunity at Britehouse (A division of Dimension Data), a software development and services company catering to custom development and solutions for customers. More recently I decided to challenge myself and dive right into a position offered by a cloud solutions provider called Enterprise Cloud.To start my journey to Canada, I joined a exciting startup company called Borrowell as a Senior Full-stack Developer. The company deals with credit scores and related products and my duties included new feature development and maintenance up and down the cloud product. MY next challenge brought me to Nation Logistics Services where I started off as a Senior Full-stack developer and Team Lead, but was promoted to Development Manager not long after. Here I am busy building NLS's cloud infrastructure, introducing modern Agile methodologies and planning disciplines. NLS's infrastructure has come from more humble beginnings, but that's why I am here and am relishing the challenge.
