I am a proficient Java and Kotlin server/backend developer. With 25+ years of Java development experience, I have extensive knowledge of the Java language and its ecosystem, including most mainstream Java APIs, tools, and frameworks, such as Spring, Apache Camel, etc.I have been using Kotlin regularly in server side and desktop applications since its 1.0 release in February 2016. I quickly became a major evangelist of the Kotlin language and have given training sessions on it. I'm the author of two successful IntelliJ IDEA plugins, both of which use Kotlin extensively. Via my FIRST Robotics mentoring, I have experience teaching both Java and Kotlin.I love to code. As such, I have chosen to stay on a technical career path, limiting managerial roles to direct technical leadership of development teams.

The application is backed by Spring Framework and leverages several internal REST services that our team also write and maintain. Build is managed by Gradle and deployed to AWS.
