As Order Manager I coordinate the orders at the HTD Maintenance Services, our central maintenance organization. To give you an idea, we process roughly 30,000 orders per year!I interact within the HTD with colleagues who are responsible for planning, work preparation, technical specialists & the guys who actually carry out the maintenance itself. Outside the HTD I am the point of contact for the customers. These are the 15 factories that can be found on our site.As an Order Manager I am involved in the entire route of the orders, from start to finish. What is special about this role is that, i amalso responsible for the relationship management of new orders. This means that I go to the factories and sit down with management, technical management and installation managers to acquire new maintenance orders.I discuss the quality, lead time and budget of the orders with the clients. When this picture is complete, I involve my colleagues from work preparation, planning & execution, so that the orders are worked out and planned.Furthermore, the following activities form an important part of my work;Improve the quality of the orders, so that the handling can be done quickly and efficiently.I set the priorities and coordinate the expectations towards the customers with regard to the execution of work.I organize the structure of the periodic consultations with our clients on technical matters and the preparation of reports.What makes my job special?I am the link between the factories and the maintenance organization, which makes it a unique position within Tata Steel.I am given the space to coordinate and arrange matters independently and according to my own insight, which gives me a great sense of freedom.I am not only involved in regular and periodic maintenance, but also in improvement projects or new installations, so that I can make a very nice contribution to making our installations more sustainable.
