At Sedlak Supply Chain Consultants, I specialized in Distribution Center Design and Supply Chain Optimization. I worked directly with companies and organizations like the U.S. Army, Colgate-Palmolive, Transplace, and Under Armour to make their supply chain processes as efficient as possible. I personally specialized in transportation management system selection and implementation and transportation/distribution center strategy.

As a freight broker, I put a lot of time and effort into reducing the cost and friction associated with moving freight in and out of Mexico for all my international clients. The biggest pain point for my clients and I was always around obtaining a cost effective Mexican Cargo Insurance solution that provided the right level of coverage. In a response to this frustration, I founded Borderless Coverage to provide the carrier, broker, and shipper industry with Direct and Automated international cargo insurance (via API to TMS integration or through our automated portal). As our users began to ask for additional international business and domestic services, so I started Borderless Coverage Consulting as well. In spending almost 8 years as a leader in the freight brokerage industry, I used a variety of tools that enabled greater transportation management efficiency. One of the tools that I used the most was a real-time shipment tracking solution called MacroPoint. I was recruited by MacroPoint and joined the team to scale it's market presence in the 3PL, asset based carrier, and freight brokerage market AND to get MacroPoint into the shipper market. After making a number of key sales specifically in the shipper market, MacroPoint was sold to Descartes for $107M. After growing the TQL Nashville office to over 80 employees, I handed off my personal book of business to the team members I hired and focused on the brokerage growth strategy as a Group Sales Manager.

I founded the Total Quality Logistics Nashville office. Here I was responsible for creating a competitive culture that fostered increased brokerage revenue while growing my own personal book of business. With the help of my team of trainers, recruiters, and sales team leaders, we grew the office from 4 to 80 in 3 years.
