Working with project team to write new business processes and policies.Currently conducting Business Analysis techniques classes to internal key users with the primary goals of being able to assist project BSA’s with gathering and documenting initial business requirements and suggesting viable solutions. Course curriculum closely follows IIBA BABoK with an inclusion of Coaching techniques for building dialogue and rapport with people being interviewed. As the BSA on the Business Intelligence (BI) team I work with key users and management to write business requirements detailing business needs. Being an agile team using Kanban project methodology I need to be able to react quickly to changing priorities. The BI team is responsible for developing and maintaining the Enterprise Data Warehouse, sourcing it from front end systems via SSIS ETL processes, creating data marts for downstream processes, and front end reporting using SSRS and data visualization tools. In the process of writing reports underlying queries both stored procedures and dynamic SQL’s are implemented.November 2015 - Pilot testing PowerBI for Dashboard development, data visualization, and data analytics. Data sourcing includes using MS Excel and connection SQL Server databases via local connectivity and enterprise gateways. I was initially hired as a SQL Server DBA with a transition to Sr. BSA within 2 years. During the time I was a DBA I lead SQL Server upgrade conversions, assisted with researching alternate disaster recovery plans in porting primary databases to designated DRP site, and conduct performance tuning on stored procedures and dynamic SQL’s. Initial responsibilities was writing and supporting custom data conversion routines for projects for the City of Virginia Beach, VA. After a couple of years I was promoted to Project Manager (10/2007)

Provided support and conversion efforts on legacy HP3000 system while they were being moved to Fiserv.

Worked on the Jefferson County (Birmingham), Alabama tax revenue system. Provided extensive mapping of data for data conversion process, wrote much of the conversion process. Also worked as a Project Leader and Application Developer on a software development project for the City of Los Angeles tax and revenue system.

Was a Sr. P/A at US Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Command center in Chesapeake, VA. My primary responsibilities were to support the flight control system that maintains and tracks all naval aircraft. Used Powerbuilder on Sybase databases.

Consultant - Sr. P/A supporting VA Dept of Social Services "Oasis" system. Technologies were Powerbuilder on Oracle databases.
