As a commercial insurance agent, risk management and loss control are paramount in keeping our clients out of hot water. We spend many hours helping each of our clients position the image they project in order to attract the best terms and conditions from insurance carriers possible. Through this, we have identified a number of key areas within the transportation business can be improved through proper risk management, loss control and overall business management techniques. Through the process of helping our clients and identifying what can be done to help them, we have developed a program called Gorilla Safety. Gorilla Safety is a stand-alone company committed to protecting and managing trucking companies in their day-to-day operations. We essentially focus on three things: improved SAFER (DOT FMCSA) scores, streamlining inspections and the repair process and finally the reduction of insurance costs. This all, in turn, makes the trucking company more attractive to clients, owners, insurance companies and other stakeholders.Before getting into risk management and loss control for transportation companies, I started my insurance agency in 2003. In order to help people protect what they spend their whole life building, I developed strategies and programs to ensure each client’s goals were met offering the peace of mind they need. During that time, we were fortunate enough to work with many great people and companies offering our services. Since then, my focus shifted to the commercial insurance industry with a heavy focus on transportation, workers compensation and contractors. US Insurance Source is now a multi-line insurance agency with a team of licensed agents ready to help each of our clients. With our business being very focused we are able to provide the best customer service possible.
