I am in my third year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Canterbury, majoring in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Human Resource Management. Now in the final year of my degree, I am eager to gain real world experience in the logistics industry. I am interested in this area as I recognise the importance of it throughout the business world, and would love the opportunity to put my newly acquired skills and knowledge to practice.I am mindful of how important industry experience is, so I’m currently looking for a graduate opportunity where I can receive further training, professional development and mentoring by the best in their field. Should I be successful in finding a position that allows me to complete a postgraduate qualification within the company I would seize that chance, but I would also be incredibly grateful of whatever opportunity presents itself. With regard to my career goals in the near future, I’d initially love the chance to be employed in a position where I can learn about the company from the ground up, with mentorship. This would allow me to get a gauge of how things work within the organisation and learn the characteristics and skills required to succeed within the business. After gaining this experience my goal is to build into a senior management position, helping the business achieve their strategic long term goals and leaving a positive impact on the company and the employees within. Aside from the academic and professional aspects this profile explores, I have various other interests. I have always been fascinated with fitness and nutrition, as well as interacting and connecting with the people around me. My passions and interests have been shaped by the amazing opportunities I’ve been fortunate enough to receive, and have simultaneously enabled me to develop a unique set of skills, which I’m sure will benefit me in my future endeavours.
