Has full P&L responsibility for £147million t/o business employing over 1,000 staff.Achievements:Delivered a 20% increase in training throughput and at the same time delivered £7million of cost efficiencies.Successfully implemented a comprehensive change programme.Improved all key operating performance metrics by an average of 6% from 90% to 96%.Successfully assumed responsibility for the 6 overseas British Army Training Areas, Germany, Canada, Kenya, Belize, Brunei and Nepal.Succesfully lobbied and influenced the outcome of the Strategic Defence Security Review.Is overseeing a major Transformation Programme to restructure the business into a slim assurance regime and to transfer the majority of outputs to the contractor.

Specially chosen to represent the UK and British Army within the US led Coalition HQ. Branch Chief for 33 Coalition staff officers and tasked with developing the future shape, size and structure of the Afghan Security Forces and lead on the development of the Afghan Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Ministry of the Interior (MoI).Achievements:Sucessfully planned and co-ordinated the structural review of the Afghan MOD and Mol.Over an exacting 4 month period delivered a detailed plan for the expansion of the Afghan Army from 70,000 personnel in 2008 to 120,000 personnel in 2010.Improved and developed the Afghan General staff to run their Army effectively and at the same time successfully fight a worsening counter insuregency campaign.Drastically improved the performance of the Afghan General Staff which allowed the beginning of the operational transfer from the Coalition to the Afghan Army to commence in certain areas.Awarded the US Bronze Star medal for the second time for exceptional perfomance.

Led a new 14 strong strategy branch of the Army Infrastructure Organisation, with the brief of delivering a coherent strategy and a long-term plan for the Army Estate and to manage the delivery of major new infrastructure projects.Oversaw the modernisation of the Army's largest garrison at Catterick in Yorkshire.Within an initial four months successfully delivered two milestone strategy papers to the Army Board.Delivered an Army Estate Rationalisation Plan.Delivered an Army Long Term Infrastructure Plan which for the first time set out a 30 year vision for the Army Estate.

Represented the UK and the British Army in the US led Coalition HQ in Baghdad. Senior Team leader to 22 Coalition officers from 6 nations responsible for the delivery of the new Iraqi National Guard.Delivered 36 operational 900 man battalions in 6 months.Reported to the Coalition Force Commander and gave regular briefings to the Senior US officials.Successfully designed recruiting and training programmes and ordered and distributed $700 million of equipment to the new Iraqi units throughout Iraq.Awarded US Bronze Star medal for outstanding leadership and successful project delivery.
