I have over 20 years of experience building and maintaining software for a variety of platforms and uses. Most of my experience has been in the military and government contracting world, although I have done a significant amount of commercial work as well. I have primarily worked in C/C++, but have also written software in Java, C#, Go, and a smattering of other languages for scripts and other small tools. I have written software to run on both servers and small embedded systems and even Android phones. I have extensive experience with military simulations and the message protocols that support them. I have worked with big teams of people on large international exercises and also worked solo, designing the software, writing it, documenting it, installing it on site and delivering it to the customer, occasionally in foreign countries. Most recently I have been developing microservices in NodeJS and Rust, with deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
