Responsible for the security and effective management, supervision of offenders in accordance with operating procedures and agency procedures. Contribute to the provision of a safe environment for staff, visitors and offenders.Security audits, incident reports, are completed in a timely manner.Ensure security and confidentiality maintained.Maintain an effective system of static and dynamic security in the area, including ensuring the ongoing operation and periodic evaluation of all surveillance equipment and infrastructure.Assume responsibility for the centre’s operation outside of business hours.Participate as an effective team member in the development and implementation of the centre’s operational plans.Maintain security equipment check reports also safety and security audits and inspections.Manage a team of correctional officers and provide leadership to ensure the provision of services to offenders.Ensure that day to day operations occur in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.Monitor performance and standards of service delivery for staff under your supervision.Supervise the behaviour and activities of offenders on a daily basis in accordance with the centre's routine or structured day.Ensure reports and offender information is entered into Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS).Monitor and maintain the dynamic and static security requirements of the correctional centre, reporting any unusual behaviours or occurrences which could result in a breach of security.
