A Chartered Energy Manager with Energy Institute currently Chair of Northern Ireland Branch. An Electrical Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in the Energy Industry, starting 1978 with Northern Ireland Electricity, a Senior Manager (Energy Services Manager) initially in NIE Supply moving to Energia in 1999.The key aims of my role was to help both the company and business customers deliver on their carbon target commitments by reducing energy consumption through Energy Efficiency projects, eliminate carbon emissions by increasing the renewable energy generation in NI, increase the training and employment opportunities within the new sector and deliver innovation solutions.As project lead I managed the Wind to Hydrogen Work Package (€3.4m) within the GENCOMM (€9.3) Interreg Hydrogen project that included the £3m OLEV Hydrogen Transport Programme delivering funding for the first Hydrogen Refuelling Station and 3 Double Deck Hydrogen Buses (operated by Translink & manufactured by Wrightbus) in Belfast
