Senior Research Scientist (Apr 2015-2020); Research Scientist (Nov 2011-2015); Lead Chemist (May 2006 - Nov 2011): Product development of latex emulsions and latex powders for construction applications such as external insulation and finishing systems, polymer modified stucco and elastomeric roof coatings. Nine (9) patent cases filed since 2012 (WO12013134208, WO2014011730 and 7 that are awaiting to be published). Six Sigma Green Belt certified. Oct 2008 - May 2010): Scale-up of emulsion processes from the laboratory to the manufacturing network. One patent case filed (EP 2529794).Apr 2006 – Oct 2008): Process steward for rubber to metal bonding technology (RtMB). Primary role was to serve as a process technology manager with global responsibilities. Position requires active support and involvement with technical service, new product development, process technology and procurement (raw materials). Additional responsibilities included approving all new raw materials for the RtMB business.

Staff Scientist (Jun 2004 – Apr 2006): Primary responsibilities were the development of new grades of TiO2 and their use in plastic resins (polyolefins, engineering resins and PVC). Fluent with new product introduction processes that require working in multifunctional teams involving customer interaction, Marketing, Technical Service, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Technology (Stage Gate Process). Two patent cases filed (US 20080053336 and US 7250080).

Program Leader: Process chemist with practical skills in the scale-up of a multitude of organofunctional silicone molecules including process development, technical troubleshooting, cost analysis and optimization of production processes utilizing statistical tools (MiniTab®). Implemented new products using a process that required working in multifunctional teams (TollGate Process) supporting projects focused on fiberglass composites, next generation passenger tires and coatings applications. -Six patent cases filed (US 6166238, US 6365696, US 6590117, US 2004092759, US 6777569, US 6872845). -Developed a new catalyst system that inhibits polymerization and olefin isomerization during the production of a commercial product. This process improvement reduced processing costs by 12%, resulting in ~$220M savings. -Introduced an alternative catalyst resulting in100% reduction of reject/rework batches for a commercial product, resulting in $100M savings per campaign. -Served as a technical resource, assisting colleagues in the development of two new products, an aminosilane and alkylsilane, through the discovery of a catalyst promoter. -Six Sigma Black Belt Trained (DMAIC).
