Third Party Administrator for multiple Trust Funds including health and welfare plan, defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans. Currently supervise 15 employees who are responsible for processing retirement benefit claims for ten separate retirement plans. Plans consist of over 175,000 plan participants with total monthly benefit distributions in excess of $13,000,000.00, payable to approximately 20,000 beneficiaries. Collaborate with account executives and plan professionals to develop processes to adhere to plan, corporate and legal requirements. Primary responsibilities include:• Authorizing the payment of all benefits in accordance with Plan, system and administrative procedures.• Conducting meetings as needed to introduce Plan, system and administrative procedure changes.• Reviewed referrals, denials and appeals of benefit claims.• Monitor critical internal system reports to ensure the claim determination requirements of the plan are being complied with on an individual department basis.• Monitor quality and quantity standards for all employees and set goals to improve performance.

Privately held third party Administrator for IBEW Local Union 76 Joint Trust Funds including health and welfare plan, and a defined contribution retirement plan. Purchased the firm in September 2008, and became President / Administrator.I had been working at Boeing most of my career and things were changing that were out of my control. I had an opportunity to join a family business, and threw myself into a deep learning adventure. I started as an associate and within two years the learning curve was behind me and I purchased the company. My firm administered the trust fund financial accounting processes and benefits programs for the union members. There were over 2300 accounts valued at $4.5M on their health and welfare plan, and 3400 accounts valued at $130M on a defined contribution plan. I managed up to $3M in cash accounts, and up to $1M in monthly transactions. I regularly collaborated with the board of trustees (BOT), financial consultants, plan participants, insurance carriers, and legal counsel to ensure transparency and to provide the best programs for the members. I evaluated proprietary financial software compliance with the Plan documents, guidelines and BOT direction.Highlights:• Completed comprehensive Federal compliance review of H&W Plan document and Retirement Plan document, and BOT initiated plan design changes.• Participated in website design, development, and launch of benefits website for Plan participants.• Developed Network Attached Storage System (NAS) to maintain Trust documents and provide BOT efficient access.
