• Responsibility and delegated authority for approximately 95% of resource consents within the Mt Eden, Balmoral, Epsom, Onehunga and Penrose areas of the City.• Role in managing a pool of 30+ planners and other technical staff, with direct responsibility for managing a team of 9 planners, a development engineer, an arborist and an administrator. • Management of workflows and expenditure to 2 firms of consultants responsible for Council's overflow resource consent work.• On a weekly basis attended the Council's Regulatory and Fixtures Sub-committee, • Represent the Council at hearings on resource consents.• Involved in negotiating with developers, local residents and pressure groups. • Presented evidence in the Environment Court.
