My current role entails the roll out of specific mining and process business improvement initiatives. These initiatives include the implementation and stabilisation of the Operating Model, financial and supply initiatives and the stabilisation of work management processes.

My accountabilities include the creation and implementation of a Business Improvement Process within the SAR district, which includes 6 mega deep level mines and Surface Mine Waste Operations. The process consists of Integrated Planning, Operating Master Schedules, work approval, planning, scheduling, resourcing and the actual execution of work. The implementation and stabilisation of the process and systematic tools including Short Term and Long Term Production and Services planning applications, Services Strategy applications, SAP Interface and Work Management applications have been implemented on all the applicable operations. My role includes the creation of Business Guidelines including Managerial Routines, Accountabilities and Behaviours and Blue print Operational guidelines have all been documented and training implemented. A Measure, Analyse and Improve component is included using measuring applications, chart runner graphs and a reporting DB created and implemented by the BI team under my guidance. The process will define the way in which deep level mining will be executed in the future. With these accountabilities I am appointed to head the successful implementation of SAP within the SAR region, overseeing the PM and production space and fulfilling a Regional Project Owner accountability.I have gained extensive IT and project management experience during this period and have a better understanding on setting asset performance targets, service / production strategies & the Operating Master Schedules. With these accountabilities can the responsibility to successfully implement the operational BPF and specifically work management processes at the various business units and at the same time ensure that the project was completed within budget and the required dates. My accountabilities included the management of the deep level logistical, development, equipping, ledging and stoping and the personnel within my appointed area of responsibility. The legal management of systems and cost control within my appointment area. I was also requested to create and manage various projects within my area of responsibility.

My area of responsibility included the Lamproom, shift control, conveyors maintenance & operations, Shaft maintenance & construction, material lowering, scheduling and hoisting, shaft schedules, safety systems i.e.; audits, safety devices, assessments, risk assessments, PTO and all shaft legal aspects, ore hoisting and all associated equipment, management over Onsetters, Timermen, Artisans, Explosives controller & assistants.
