Role purpose:Manage the Waste Water Commercial team, ensure all Waste Water projects are financially managed with robust financial project budgets, Latest Best Estimates and project estimates are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure. Support and challenge operations and undertake a management role with leadership in the NCA. Drive Efficiencies, reduce actual costs and maximise gain share for the NCA. Key Accountabilities:Responsible for the financial performance of the Construction Waste Water projects on a programme basis. Challenge and engage best practice to reduce actual costs and drive efficiencies throughout the NCA. Ensure actual costs and targets are understood, continually reviewed and are delivered to budget. Engagement with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate competitive arrangements and deliver best value.Work proactively, challenge and liaise with Construction manager and Project managers.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee the Waste Water commercial and finance aspects including QS’s.• Timely submission of LBE information and forecasting accurate figures.• Maximisation of gain for the NCA.• Ensuring all subcontractor financial criteria is relevant e.g. contractual documentation, letters, early warnings, payment and deductions.• Driving efficiencies, best practices, innovation and lowest cost solutions• Working closely with operational teams to review and challenge data, cost and rates and prices.• Monitoring / scrutinisation of weekly costs with actions, challenge and resolutions • Resolving areas of concern mainly in overspend, problem areas, failure to achieve deadlines, process failures.• Attending meetings, providing robust information to make decisions and adding value to teams.• Oversee all budgets, project targets and change control.• Ensure timely submission of applications for payment to UUW. • Conform to the contractual obligations and the contract terms
