Develops and facilitates strategies to accomplish the mission and goals of both the Apartment Assoc of Metro Denver and the Colorado Apartment Association. The EVP is the chief staff member responsible for hiring, developing and leading the staff; enhancement of services for its members, manage the resources of the organization; prepares reports, budgets, etc based upon the direction of the Board; assists the board to define and create policies; administers and executes overall strategies of association activities; oversees all association financial affairs and sustainability.

As a Regional Coordinator of the Illinois Region of MDA, the responsibilities were to oversee the fundraising and management operations of eight District Offices throughout the State. This included: hiring and managing approximately 30 staff members; crafting budgets for and executing hundreds of fundraising events and campaigns with a wide range of corporate sponsors and community organizations; as well as writing and producing several local Telethons. While at MDA Mark was promoted four times.
