Client Services Manager / Senior Delivery Technician based in Alexandra, Central Otago, New Zealand (NZ). Currently employed with myITmanager, a managed service provider based out of Christchurch, NZ. I am a dedicated, proactive, and self-driven person with an assertive and approachable character. Remembering that we're all human is what grounds me, so, I treat people how I'd like to be treated. Picking apart people for their faults or errors wins no friends and stifles progress. I have a light-hearted demeanour and a quirky sense of humor, and when offering constructive feedback, passing on project communications, or documenting client information, I put myself in my clients' or colleagues’ shoes to ensure they receive a standard of dialogue that I too would appreciate.Throughout my career, I have consistently delivered comprehensive IT solutions to small and medium businesses in my region, covering everything from engaging key stakeholders and scoping business requirements, to sales, planning, then on to delivery and support. I’ve been in this game long enough to have delivered a plethora of technology solutions to an array of different business models over the years. This experience has allowed me to build a diverse foundation of knowledge and an understanding that spans from a high-level business perspective through to the technical perspective while developing wholesome relationships with my clients along the way. With 13 years of experience, my work background is diverse, with experience spanning all levels of IT support (1,2,3), including Microsoft 365 cloud services such as Azure Active Directory, InTune, conditional access policies (CAPs), Exchange email, SharePoint, Teams and much more. Common responsibilities include team and project management, long-term client relationship building, engaging key stakeholders, and requirements gathering. Tasks include performing complete business systems migrations (e.g. email, document storage, local domain to AzureAD migrations), and designing/delivering business infrastructure and wireless solutions using Ubiquiti networking hardware. My knowledge and experience also expand into server/virtual server management, domain, and DNS management, cyber security auditing/advice, and remediation to aid businesses in reducing their cyber security risk posture.Hobbies include spending time with my family, road trips, ice hockey, mountain biking, motorbiking, gaming, and movies. I also enjoy getting out in the wilderness for tramping or photography, as well as dabbling in investing and cryptocurrency.

It Consultant & TechnicianOca Technology Ltd Oct 2010 - Oct 2015Alexandra, Central Otago, New ZealandMy role at OCA Technology Ltd was diverse in that it ranged from providing levels 1,2,3 of IT support to tailored IT consulting with clients, including road mapping of network & hardware requirements. Quoting of labour and hardware costs. Procurement and preparation of hardware. Project management and on going support either remotely or in-person. Creating and managing good client relationships was an important aspect of my role. This required such traits as being a geek but talking like a human, clear and constant communication throughout large and even small projects, booking appointments with clients, being punctual to those appointments and ringing ahead if late or unable to make it, updating clients about new technology advancements and most importantly treating them like people not customers.Experience involved; - Management of Windows Server and local domain environments, exchange servers, familiarity with Active Directory and some experience with SQL and MySQL (for websites). Management of domains, email and some website hosting services was common for most of our clients. General troubleshooting, networking & workstation support was a daily occurrence and our client base was very diverse so knowledge of 100's of different tailored IT infrastructures was crucial. Good time management and communication was extremely important in managing what we often referred to as the circus (extremely busy days).
