I have always been hugely interested in the weather and climate and gained a BSc in physical geography and then a masters in meteorology. After being a meteorologist at the Met Office for a number of years, I was promoted to senior operational meteorologist, working in the media forecasting team. In the role, I briefed media customers on the weather, as well as producing social media graphics and presenting for GB News, Channel 5 and BFBS. In 2020, I became service delivery manager for the media team, helping to ensure we delivered service excellence to our media customers through ITIL, where problems, incidents and changes were raised. In 2022, I became media and reach squad lead, which involves working closely with all our internal and external stakeholders. I recently completed a NVQ in leadership and management.
