Initially as part of LnW’s TechOp directive, and now part of the wider Engineering organisation, I lead the DevOps team, having responsibility for the majority of AWS environments used to deliver LnW online gaming services across the world.

Reporting to the CTO I was responsible for the uData Product team. This is a Data Engineering focused team consisting of data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, business analysts and testers responsible for delivering multi-source x-functional data for consumption by internal teams, our own C-Suite, our parent company, and the customers of UMe.

After years of DevOps focus I switched to a Data team and very quickly assumed Team Leadership responsibilities. This involved splitting my time between technical and team level tasks and eventually led to me taking on acting Engineering Manager duties.

Senior DevOps responsible for all aspects of our global 24x7 Cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Responsible for all aspects of Infrastructure underpinning key mobile applications and online services within the Telefonica UK estate. My primary areas of technical focus being AWS. We operate continuous and near-continuous delivery models, utilising Ansible and Python to deploy monolithic and micro services based on MongoDB, Hadoop, etc. that have customer bases measured in the millions.

As a member of the TCS team focussed on the Telefonica account I am involved in defining business processes, designing new technical solutions and delivering new technology to project requirements. I also act as an escalation point for certain key technical areas. I have been involved in a large IBM Power7 rollout making extensive use of PowerVM technology. I have spent much of my recent time developing a centralised IaaS platform for the Telefonica domain in Europe. Additionally I have an on-going focus on large scale migration and transformation projects.
