Developed data integration strategy between wireless Glucometer offering and the GFC Member Healthcare Portal. Formed business alliances with leading health and fitness clubs as service partners. Managed the roll-out and pilot program of the service with the YMCA. Led the development of cooperative marketing with the American Diabetes Association.

Directed product development, marketing and sales for the software licensing arm of this public company with full P&L responsibility. Captured the single largest licensing contract in the division’s history with Adobe Systems Inc. Proximity Technology provided structured medical terminology databases for use within EHR and healthcare information systems. Proximity was a primary contributor to Franklin Electronic Publishers corporate earnings during tenure as Vice President and General Manager. Key Business Results: The Proximity Technology division exceeded sales goals by over 54% in each operating year during management tenure.

Led formation of online healthcare knowledge management business spun-off from e-SIM. Responsible for P&L, strategy, business structure and technical execution of Internet based training and assessment services that measure evidence-based knowledge of standard medical practices. Reached break-even within 36 months of Series A funding. Raised $7.5 million in private equity capital. Key Business Results: company profitable by its third operating year; recipient of the Houston Business Journal Fast 50 Award (#4).

Restructured this embedded systems/CAD software company to focus on three distinct segments; (a) Simulations of healthcare devices and care delivery processes (b) web-based product simulations for consumer electronics customer support; and (c) development tools for mobile communication products. Defined positioning and product marketing for the line of e-SIM embedded software tools to ensure coherence with customer requirements. Led the sales team to significant wins in each business segment with vertical marketing and sales programs. Personally closed deals with Nokia, Motorola, Qualcomm, Sony Ericsson and Samsung. Key Business Results: Corporate valuation grew greater than 37X since assignment ($1.20 to $44.00 per share) during my management tenure. Company revenues grew over 260% during the same period. Managed sale of industrial training business to Simulis LLC.

Recruited by CEO to assist business units in strategic planning, marketing, key account acquisition and selection of electronic production technologies to improve corporate valuation. Achieved Board directives by completing sale of numerous business units over a three year period. Formulated and executed e-commerce strategies for CGH electronic publishing businesses in commercial aviation and high technology customer accounts. Developed business opportunities and closed major contracts with Boeing, Fluor Daniel, SCO, Kodak, Xerox, Norsk Hydro, Navistar, IBM and major U.S. commercial airlines. Key Business Results: Technology adoption by business units during tenure enabled management to secure higher business valuations (greater than 8X EBITDA).
