Mark Wisniewski is the firm's Chair and Chief Executive Officer and co-chair of the firm's asbestos liability mass tort defense practices. His experience also extends to medical malpractice/pharmacy malpractice, products liability and premises liability defense. Mr. Wisniewski has spoken at national litigation conferences on the issues of asbestos bankruptcy trusts, medical expert evaluations, lung cancer and smoking, allocation of fault, paper mill exposures and asbestos equipment litigation. He is admitted to practice law in Michigan and Illinois as well as the U.S. District Courts of Eastern and Western Michigan. In 2013, Wisniewski was honored by De La Salle Collegiate for his contributions to education. Wisniewski served as the school’s Alumni Association President and Executive Member of its Board of Trustees. In 2016, Wisniewski was recognized by The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law as their Time & Talent Award Winner for his dedication to the education of the future lawyers of Michigan. At UDM-Law, Wisniewski served as the Alumni Association President, Dean’s Selection Committee Member and Dean’s Advisory Board Member. In 2018, Wisniewski was recognized for his legal accomplishments and was named by dbusiness as one of Detroit’s 500 Most Powerful Business Leaders in Metro Detroit. In 2019, Wisniewski was named a Leader in the Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. He has been named a Michigan Super Lawyer every year since 2008. Only five percent of the attorneys in the state are named Super Lawyers. Mr. Wisniewski is AV Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell. The AV Peer Review rating is the highest rating allowed. Mr. Wisniewski received his J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law, where he was Associate Editor of the Law Review. He also earned an A.B. in Political Science and American History from the University of Michigan. Mr. Wisniewski also worked as a probation officer in the District of Columbia.
