As Director of Design & Technical Services at AccorHotels I’m involved in the process from the Development Phase till the Opening of the Hotel to the public, and following the Capex/Maintenance afterwards.The Region includes Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxemburg (and temporarily Scandinavia).Range of Projects for Multi-Brand in Construction, Rebranding and Renovation for Managed and Franchised Hotels.Feasibility study of potential new projects, optimizing the architectural plans, guiding the several design proposals, having an overview on the technical installations, ensuring that the Brand Compliances are respected. All this in close relation with the Owner and his team who are mostly international and multicultural.Thorough experience in Design, System Processes, Project Management, Procurement, IT, analysis of major problems into workable components, managing outsourced skills, and especially taking care of the big picture.

2011-now1. Responsible for the new building constructions in BeNeLux:- Project Management for the Owned Building Constructions- Consultancy for the Franchised and Managed Building ConstructionsTo guarantee that these hotels are constructed conform the specifications of Accor and the different brands, the Franchisees/Owners and their consultants are supported on all subjects and levels concerning;Brand Specifications, Plan Lay-Out, Flow, Design, Permits, Signage (External and Internal), Technical Installation, Construction, Budget, Planning, etc.Internal specialists in eg. Exploitation, Acoustic, IT, Audio Visual, Kitchen,…, can be consulted for specific details.All the projects have to be presented and validated internally by the different Program Committees.As Consultant, I’m during the preliminary and construction phase the link between the Franchisee/Owner and Accor.2. Feasibility studies on existing and new buildings for the Development Department.3. Organisation of the CAPEX for 30-35 hotels4. Project Management & Coordination of Renovation Projects-----------------------------------------------2010-2011Project Management: Renovation Projects of existing Belgian hotels.-----------------------------------------------2007-2010Project Management: Renovation of a 5* hotel in the Netherlands.It concerned a monumental building in the centre of Amsterdam.During operations, the whole hotel was renovated (Lobby, Rooms, Corridors, Restaurant, Kitchens, Meeting Rooms, Spa & Swimming Pool, Garden, Staff Area, Facades, part of the Technical Installation), new Elevator Shafts were constructed and Asbestos Removal was done.
