Security in main accesses of traffic is in support of operational conditions .that do require logs and records; to support operations of various sources. The conditions are events and incidents that could enact changes in command. In emergency situations liaisons to the known officers reduce some confusion. A coal-fired plant on a state route checking government id's is logistics but standing orders say operations support. The standing orders are in line with the popular incident command system and a Bachelor Degree is not a requirement.

In 2000 I started with Ameritech where I was employed 18 years, as a Central Office Technician. There were many types of communication circuits; used by customers in both: residences and businesses. We wired, fibered, and provisioned systems to transmit and receive signals, both: electrical and optical and between each office's customers and other offices. We completed service orders to install, change, and disconnect circuits. We troubleshot equipment and wiring to complete trouble tickets on circuits which predominantly are protected by redundancy, to prevent high magnitude loss of service to the customers that used multiplexed and demultiplexed signaling. We worked with technicians throughout the company and in the field.Plain Old Telephone Service, special circuits, ISDN, t-1, and optical are types of service we offered when I started. In my 16 years of employment Ameritech sold to SBC, SBC bought AT&T, and SBC began operating as AT&T, plus I've seen the addition of Enhanced 911, DSL options of IP DSLAM and U-Verse which required an increase in capacity served by advances in Fiber Optic Technology. In addition to customer service orders and trouble tickets we complete routines on equipment that provide security and safety. As an employee I was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

I read blueprints to assemble and repair machines that sold for over $100,000; used to process plastic film for food industry packaging. The machines utilized hydraulics, electronics, electric motor controllers, and pneumatics. I also traveled to companies that utilized those machines as a Service Technician. As an employee, I was member of the United Auto Workers.
  • Pre Aas Degree
    Cook Associate
Pre Aas Degree Jul 1995 - Jun 1998
I applied for and did work for Litton Ambulance through the Summer, Fall, and partial Spring Semesters following a second attempt at the AAS Degree. Employees were complaining about their pay, and I had not taken the classes to pursue employment in the field of emergency medicine. I left and worked in two restaurants before applying for a position as an associate in a department store. After 6 months I made a third attempt at the associates degree and completed it at the age of 32, in 1998.
  • Early Post Military
    Attendant Porter Driver
Early Post Military May 1991 - Mar 1995
My first employer was a local security guard company. I was hired as a security guard and the site I worked at was in a printing plant in which employees had caused significant damages due to a closure at the end of a contractual agreement; it was suggested I was a state licensed security guard which I had the training for. We guarded equipment as part of a contract with the Illinois Department of Insurance. The employees had vacated the property. Before starting at the nearest university in an AAS Program I applied for a position in a convenience store. I predominantly worked weekend shifts and came home on the weekends. After 3 semesters that were fall, spring, and summer I left the program and applied for a porter position in a local hotel advertising in the classified ads and the following Spring was a half time student at the community college and one class was an EMT-A Certifying Class.

  • Late High School Years
    Waiter And Auto Shop
Late High School Years Aug 1982 - Dec 1984
My Junior Year I was a counter and window waiter at a diner in the town the previous job was in. I wore a white button up and collared shirt and wore a long apron folded to the waist where a pocket created held an order pad and a pen. I’d take orders, pour drinks plus make sure silverware was available, and clear the dishes while also taking orders at the window. The restaurant was only open until 10 pm but in the summer I was able to work a split shift; got close to 8 hours within a day, so 32 hours a week. My senior year I finished as an assistant at a friend’s grandpa’s auto repair shop, I graduated high school with 1.5 years education in electricity electronics, shop classes in woods and medals, math classes in algebra, trigonometry, and geometry; and science classes in Biology, Micro-Biology, and Anatomy. I had 4 years of perfect attendance. For a couple months I was a window waiter at Dairy Queen before the delayed enlistment I had signed for ended, and I became enlisted in the US Navy.
  • Grade School And Early High School
    Student Employee
Grade School And Early High School Aug 1977 - Apr 1982
    Jefferson County Illinois
As a 12-year-old my customer interactions were at the door of their residences. As a freshman and part of my sophomore years I worked at a small-town grocery store. The remainder of my Sophomore Year and a portion of my Junior Year I was a backline fast foods employee. I finished my junior year and the following summer, as a counter and window waiter, then finished my senior year working as an assistant at an auto shop. My last employment before enlisting in the military was as a window waiter at Dairy Queen. As a 12-year-old, I received a couple stacks of local newspapers printed daily that came Monday through Saturday and folded each one to a size that fit in a plastic bag, then delivered them to houses along a route. The route was about a mile of houses in a residential neighborhood. Monthly I knocked on the route doors to ask for payment and punched a card with a hole punch, when payment was made. We moved after the year I lived there to a smaller town and after a couple years I slipped down to the small-town grocery store; while sipping a soda I was asked by the owner if I would like a job. I worked at that grocery store 12 hours a week through my Freshman Year and half my Sophomore Year until I was 16. I helped stock shelves, filled the soda machines and stacked the empty bottles, I pumped gas and kerosene, ran the register, carried groceries, and occasionally spread floor sweep on the wood floors and swept it up. At 16, I applied for a position as a cook at Burger chef which changed ownership and became Hardees. At peak times of the shifts, I was able to work 3 of the 4 stations that were grill, buns and dress, fry vats, and control station. I worked 32 hours a week and at times until close on a school night; got home at 1 am and to school the next morning.
